David Latimer - Chief Executive Officer & General Manager -  Hybrid Drives Division

Before he joined Magnomatics as Business Development Manager, David was Chief Executive Officer of EVO Electric; a spin out company from Imperial College. Under David’s leadership EVO gained a strong position in the electric and hybrid vehicle sector and they formed a joint venture with GKN Driveline in June 2011.

Prior to EVO, David was Chairman of Bluebird Vehicles, a manufacturer of low floor accessible buses. David has run a number of specialist engineering businesses where he specialised in reorganisations and change management including Weir Valves & Controls Ltd, Brush HMA b.v. (electric machines and turbo generators), Bedford Pumps and Howden Wade Ltd (aircraft airconditioning and hydraulic systems).  Through this varied career David has had experience in diverse markets including aerospace, automotive, industrial power, water, nuclear and oil & gas.

He started his career with Rolls Royce working in both technology and operational roles.

David has a degree in Aeronautical Engineering and an MBA.


Paul Todd - Divisional Manager - Drive Technology

Paul has a BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering and is a Chartered Engineer and member of the IMechE.  He began his career with CNC machine tool manufacturer TI Churchill as a Technical Apprentice and then Design Engineer.   He went on to spend 8 years at Ever Ready Batteries; designing new primary and secondary battery units for consumer, industrial and military applications.  He then moved to Black & Decker where he spent 12 years developing their DEWALT professional cutting tools.  As Global Design Manager he headed their design, development and test functions in the UK, USA and China.  This was followed by 5 years with Sandvik Medical Solutions as Technical Director leading the development of their process capabilities to produce orthopaedic implants and medical instruments to exacting specifications.  In 2013 he joined Magnomatics as Project Manager and in 2016 was promoted to Divisional Manager for the Drive Technology Business.
