Magnomatics Celebrates 20 Years of Innovation

High-technology and manufacturer Magnomatics was established as a commercial spin-out from the University of Sheffield back in 2006, following ground-breaking research in highly efficient, proprietary magnetic gear technology.

An impressive 20 years later, the company is going from strength to strength and enjoying sustained growth.

Chief Technical Officer & Co-founder, Dr Stuart Calverley said “We started Magnomatics 20 years ago with the vision to help the world move towards electrification. I am very proud of what we have achieved. We have global reach and have developed many successful partnerships with pioneering technology operating in boats, aircraft and all things in between.”

Having recently announced the brand-new Park Way Production Facility dedicated to the production of magnetically geared machines, and planning permission granted for a major expansion to the Park House Technology Headquarters, the 20^th year for Magnomatics is looking to be the busiest and most exciting yet.

We’ve helped shape the future of electrification across many industries and we’re only just getting started. I'm enormously proud of what we've achieved and even more excited about what comes next.”

As the demand for low emission and electrified solutions accelerates, growth continues at Magnomatics. Having just expanded the Electromagnetics team, the company is recruiting again – this time for both Mechanical and Senior Mechanical Engineers to join the ever-growing team.
